Meet Our New Pastor!
Elder Kelly Maurice Stevens, Sr. was born September 1, 1982, to Marie A. Johnson of Coatesville, PA and Marcus Wayne King of Camden, New Jersey. Kelly was nurtured and grew up in Chester County PA and was educated in the Coatesville Area School District. It was @ Holy Tabernacle COGIC in Coatesville, PA. It was there that Kelly discovered a relationship with Jesus Christ. He grew in the Lord under the tutelage of the late Elder James E. Scott. Kelly was later licensed as a minister in New Jersey under the spiritual care if his Pastor Supt. Shelton Neal Sr. and ordained in 1st Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction. After moving to Memphis, TN, Kelly's ordination was reaffirmed by his then Pastor and Prelate of Tennessee 5th Jurisdiction Bishop Samuel Leon Lowe Sr. Kelly later met the jewel of his eye Lady Paula Pope of Dallas and entered Holy matrimony. He later transitioned to Dallas, Texas and under the commission of Christ established the Abiding Presence Institutional COGIC. His work was recognized by his now Prelate Bishop James E. Lee, Sr. of Dallas, TX and was formerly consecrated to the sacred office of Pastor in the "Grand Old COGIC." Kelly was appointed as Jurisdictional President of the Youth Department of Texas East Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction COGIC. In December 2015, he began the assignment of discipleship at Talco Bethel COGIC. He was officially appointed as Pastor in November 2016. He continues to work relentlessly and proudly seeking the face of God to serve the people of Talco Bethel. Kelly and his wife parent 6 children: Zion, Tyliah, Zephra, Zora, Zaylee, and Kelly M. Stevens, Jr.
